Project Overview

Perlo is a large, well-established commercial construction company with hundreds of projects and a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest. Their previous website was hand-coded on WordPress and more than five years old, which made updates difficult and limited their ability to support new marketing initiatives. The Perlo team needed a modern, flexible website that reflects the strength of their brand and can grow with them over time.

The Challenge

Perlo’s existing site was custom-built without a visual editor, which meant even small changes required developer intervention. It also meant they were stuck within confined page templates. With more than 250+ projects and pages, any rebuild also needed to be done carefully to preserve SEO value and historical project content.

The new website had to:

  • Support ongoing campaigns and landing pages
  • Be easy for their internal team to update
  • Maintain search rankings and URL structure
  • Modernize both design and usability
  • Provide a scalable framework for future content growth

Our Approach

We began by installing a temporary visual builder plugin to support short-term campaign needs. This allowed Perlo to create new landing pages while we planned the long-term rebuild.

The new site is being rebuilt in WordPress using a modern page builder framework that:

  • Streamlines page creation and editing
  • Improves performance, speed, and accessibility
  • Standardizes layout components for consistency
  • Preserves SEO and project history
  • Gives Perlo’s internal team full control of content updates

Because the project library is large and detailed, we are designing a repeatable project template that makes future updates efficient and visually consistent.

Deliverables (In Progress)

  • New WordPress website built with a modern page builder
  • Updated design system aligned with Perlo’s brand
  • Standardized content structures for 250+ project pages
  • Improved project gallery navigation
  • Flexible landing page templates for campaigns and new initiatives
  • Performance and accessibility improvements

Status

Currently in development. The updated website will launch with improved usability, reduced editing friction, and a clearer showcase of Perlo’s work and capabilities.
