Website Management FAQ

My site wasn’t built by you. Can you still maintain my site?

Yes. We are open to building long-term relationships with new clients in need of technical TLC. To ensure we can safely manage your site, we require a one-time Technical Audit. If your site needs significant repairs, we may recommend a website rebuild before starting a monthly plan.

What if I don’t have access to my current website?

If you don’t have WordPress admin access and are unable to get it from your current provider, we cannot migrate the site. In these cases, we recommend a new build to give you back total ownership of your asset.

Should I update WordPress and plugins myself?

Please leave the updates to us. Website maintenance is an integral part of our partnership. We follow a strict protocol: backup first, check the site, update, then verify everything is still functioning perfectly.

Does the monthly support time rollover?

No — unused hours don't carry into the next month. Our plans act as retainers to ensure your spot in our queue is guaranteed every month, which lets us turn work around quickly when you do need something.

What if a task takes more than my monthly allotment?

If a request exceeds your monthly hours, we will let you know and get your approval before proceeding. These additional hours are billed at our discounted client-only rate.

What is included under monthly support hours?

Support hours are intended for small website updates that take less than 30 minutes to complete. This typically includes content edits, image swaps, posting blogs, updating staff bios, adding testimonials, or making minor layout adjustments.

Support hours do not include custom design, new page builds, major layout changes, new functionality, third-party integrations, or redesign work. Larger requests are scoped separately and billed at the discounted client rate.

Do I have to host my site with you?

You aren't forced to, but the real value of our plans comes from our optimized server environment. If you stay on budget hosting like GoDaddy or Bluehost, performance and security will likely suffer. Most clients find it easier and safer to have us manage the hosting.

I don’t want to move my domain or email to you!

No problem. We don’t typically manage these anyway. You keep your domain and email where they are, and we simply point the website to our high-performance servers.

What happens if I want to leave?

While we'll be sad to see you go, we'll help any way we can. We only require 30 days notice that you'd like to move to another provider. When you leave, you will be responsible for securing your own hosting and licenses for any premium tools previously provided.
